It freed her from the derisive looks of her fellow students and, more importantly, gave her more time to do what she wanted - which meant growing stronger. It was as much pity as anything else Fenghuang Yu knew, but she didn’t care.
After her eidetic memory was discovered, her mother and Caretaker Bo stopped making her attend the normal classes and simply gave her scrolls and books to read. Since nobody was ever looking for her, except for the inane classes she was forced to take about etiquette, she was mostly left alone. Fenghuang Yu ate her rice, egg and vegetable breakfast at a small table in her quarters the next morning.
